Colleagues fundraise for Grocery Aid at #WindermereRow23

On Thursday 4th May, sales team colleagues Neil Wilson, Mike Trainor and Andy Legge joined colleagues from Coop to undertake the #WindermereRow23 to raise funds for GroceryAid.

Our team joined 40 other teams to take on the 10-mile challenge across the scenic Lake Windermere in the beautiful Lake District.

The photos are deceptive – conditions were challenging with a strong wind that frequently changed direction, blowing their rowing boat off course.

Along with company match funding, Neil, Mike and Andy raised £450 for GroceryAid.

Thank you to all our generous colleagues for supporting our efforts to raise funds for our very own industry charity, helping all who have worked or are working within Grocery. Neil Wilson, Snr. Sales Director, Grocery & Foodservice

About GroceryAid

Tate & Lyle Sugars has supported GroceryAid for over 10 years, both with fundraising, awareness raising and in-kind support. The charity provides free and confidential emotional, practical and financial support for all grocery colleagues, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

10th May 2023 is GroceryAid Day! This year we are celebrating and supporting their work by raising awareness of their free and confidential services that are available at any time to colleagues in the grocery industry.

The charity recorded a 61% increase in incidences of support last year and a 17% increase in calls to the Helpline, and need continues to increase as a result of the cost of living crisis.
