We are pleased to announce the successful grantees of the 2025 Lyle’s Local Fund!
Since its launch in 2017, the Fund has awarded more than £300,000 to over 117 local projects, helping to build safe, prosperous and healthy communities across Newham. We are proud of our Newham roots, and the Lyle’s Local Fund exists to support the exceptional people who work to make our borough an even better place to live and work.
This year, we received a record 180 applications, which reflects the creativity and commitment invested in our community. We were inspired by the ideas proposed and the impact so many organisations are striving to achieve.
We are pleased to award grants of up to £5,000 to 10 organisations whose work supports members of our community through arts, exercise, nature, history and financial wellbeing.
We look forward to following their progress throughout the year and celebrating the difference they make for people across Newham.

| Setup4Life | Home Start Hub | Provides furniture, materials, and guidance to help Newham care leavers create comfortable homes. |
| Curious by Nature | Beckton Explorers | Outdoor learning and activity sessions supporting diverse Beckton families to build resilience, fitness, and wellbeing. |
| Newham Music | Youth Orchestra Tour | International music tour enabling Newham youth to perform and develop skills and independence. |
| Bonny Downs Community Association | Dementia Choir & Yoga | Weekly dementia‑friendly choir and yoga sessions promoting joy, activity, and social connection. |
| Serene Beginnings A Mother’s Space | Mother & Baby Sessions | Baby sensory sessions and financial wellbeing support helping Newham mothers reduce isolation and build stability. |
| Park Primary School | Bus Library | Transforming a donated bus into a library to provide free books and a community learning space. |
| VIPON | VIPON Activities | Social activities, workshops, and skills training to reduce isolation and enable independence for visually impaired Newham residents. |
| The Newham African Caribbean Heritage Reference Group (NACHRG) | Sugar Legacies Project | Intergenerational heritage and arts activities exploring Newham’s links to the sugar trade through workshops and guided walks. |
| Newham Stroke Club | Soulful Connections | Music therapy, exercise, and workshops improving wellbeing and reducing isolation for Newham stroke survivors and carers. |
| NEWway Project | Pearls Women’s Space | Women‑only day centre offering safety, wellbeing activities, and specialist support for homeless women in Newham. |
